We are a group of keen local Hawke's Bay runners who love seeing people get active, and as a result we are putting on a FREE event based in beautiful Waipukurau, Central Hawke's Bay, Aotearoa. Our mission is to provide an unforgettable experience during Labour Weekend 2025. Whether you're young or old, an experienced ultra runner or a beginner looking for a unique challenge, our event is perfect for you. With stunning scenery and a supportive community, we aim to create an event that pushes your limits and leaves you with incredible memories.

It's FREE (koha for the Waipukurau Rotary River Pathways Trust is encouraged)!
It's a flat, entirely runnable 6.7km course!
Backyard ultras are a great leveller – you can walk or run as fast as you want, just get back within the hour.
It’s super social – meet new people as you walk/run and make new friends! Or don't...it's your choice!
We have a $500 prize for both the Last Man Standing and the Last Woman Standing!
Challenge yourself – push beyond your limits. 1 lap or 100 laps - it's all about pushing yourself.
