We have an awesome base venue at the Waikpukurau A&P Showgrounds - this is where the start and finish of each lap will be. 

Our base venue has everything you need, including: 

• Ample parking on tarseal or grass.

• A heap of space for runners who want to pitch a tent/marquee and set up a base station for use between loops.

• Plenty of shade under the trees.

• Proper toilets (including a portaloo out on the course at approx half way)

• Power for a lit-up start/finish.

• A fire to keep you warm.

• Taps to fill water bottles. 

• A large, covered area that will shelter all runners at the start/finish line for each lap.

And the list goes on...

• It is a flat 6.7km loop.

• We have a mixture of limestone paths and dirt "single track" following the Tukituki River.

• It can get a bit slippery/muddy if it's cold or wet, so you may want to bring grippy shoes just in case!

• We will ensure the course will be well marked.
